Build and save a small equipment-hire quote using Astro content pages, a Preact island and daisyUI controls. The actual oRPC contract validates inputs and outputs with ArkType; Kysely reads Postgres catalogue prices and atomically saves quantities, price snapshots and the quote revision. Client prices/totals are rejected. Saved quotes survive a restart and stale updates show a visible conflict.
Includes eight synthetic products, two shared draft quotes, locked compatible dependencies, a screenshot, explicit clickhousectl service/CA/role/migration/cleanup instructions, and scoped secret-free CI. The app runs as a trusted local workbench without sign-in, payment or equipment reservations. The companion article remains local for editorial review.
Validated inside an isolated Linux OrbStack VM: clean npm ci, Astro typecheck and production build; actual managed PostgreSQL18.6 integration exercised invalid inputs/product references, competing saves, genuine server restart, saved rates/next-save repricing, atomic replacement rollback and restricted catalogue grants. Actual Kysely/pg TLS checks passed with the Cloud CA and failed deliberately with wrong CA/hostname. Chromium exercised the hydrated quote builder, saved £444 total/reload, filtering, two-tab conflict/native reload dialog and Astro guide. The owned Cloud fixture was deleted through clickhousectl and a fresh list confirmed absence; VM is stopped and preserved.
