The Error/Warning Underline (#49) feature is limited to "languages supporting /* ... */ or (* ... *) comment syntax".

I'd like this feature to support languages outside of this limitation, specifically languages with no inline-comment support.
Could this maybe be achieved like the Code Highlights feature where the symbol "is pre-processed by codedoc before syntax highlighting and removed from the code"?
