Note
Low Risk
Lockfile-only transitive dependency bump in an example app; low runtime risk and generally reduces exposure to known parser vulnerabilities.
Overview
Updates the gatsby-minimal-starter example lockfile so nested
socket.io-parserresolves from 4.2.4 to 4.2.7 (pulled in viasocket.io/socket.io-client).That patch line brings parser fixes including limits on binary attachments (addresses CVE-2026-33151), stricter handling of invalid binary packets, and
toJSON()behavior when unpacking binary packets. The lockfile also reflectssocket.io-parser’s nesteddebugmoving from ~4.3.1 / 4.3.4 to ~4.4.1 / 4.4.3, and drops a redundant nestedms@2.1.2entry under the parser’sdebugtree.No application source changes—only
