The September 4–8 Discord discussion about directory layout, offset-heavy code, AI maintainability, debug symbols, and working-engine priorities was not preserved as a single reference. Record a dated summary from the transcript supplied by the project owner and link it from the workspace guide and generated documentation index.

Distinguish participants' historical observations, the project's September response, current engineering requirements, and remaining work. Explicitly separate criticism about readability despite matching assembly from the related policy excluding handwritten assembly bakes. No claim that the concerns are already resolved; no source or active-session files changed.

Validation: zero broken documentation links; 56 findings have reference homes; zero unexpected tracked root files; README coverage consistent with catalog 49,568; git diff --check passes.
