Good idea to have a Gitlab/Gitea/Gitgud backup

Saw this on twitter, it seems like Github is willing to remove repositories even if (allegedly) nothing problematic was on them, only code.

I say allegedly because I would assume that even if no images or other assets are present in the repository certain strings would be, which I guess Visa/MasterCard didn't like?

Anyway, slippery slope and all that, since Microsoft owns Github and they are pushing AI so hard I wouldn't say this repo is 100% safe.
