Steal features from Marknote

Let's break this down in actual text:

I'll break them into two groups, those that might be integrated into Folio, and those that probably won't:

Might

• Increase/Decrease list level
• Type of list
• Checkbox

The above could be added, there's no show stoppers in the list.

(Probably) Won't

• Note Link - Already exists as it's just a link
• Code View - The whole point of Folio is the almost WYSIWYG editor, adding a code view would be against the basic premise of Folio
• Table of Contents - This would add complexity to the visual interface, but if someone could figure out how to add it without bloating the UI, I would consider it
• Focus Mode - Folio is already pretty minimal, you can already hide the sidebars and Folio isn't a writing tool per se, so I don't see this being particularly useful.

I agree with what you said, but I'd still propose the Code View. Markdown is a markup language and it supports many more features than what Folio actually exposes, so the code view would be useful for advanced users.
Just like Marknote we could a {} button that is non-intrusive and accessible to the advanced user if necessary.
In fact, maybe even add a preference to the Preferences and call it "Advanced mode" ?

Edit: You missed the "underline" feature - does it already exist? I couldn't find it.

Edit 2: I also forgot to mention about the dropdown I have shown in the image. In Folio, different levels of headings are called "Heading 1", "Heading 2"... but these are ambiguous for an user who has never seen Markdown (I know Markdown in code btw).
I think what Marknote uses (Basic text, Title, Subtitle,...) is a better approach.
Currently, Folio calls the "Basic text" in markdown as "Plain text" which I think (maybe) clashes with the concept of TXT files (?)

If the feature isn't supported, then the markdown will be naturally exposed in the editor, a code view option would do nothing in that case.

No, I don't think that's better, the markdown spec using the heading nomenclature so Folio will follow that. Markdown are text files, they just have a specification to allow them to be displayed as valid HTML.
