Bug description
Summary: Scheduled blog posts are displayed on the frontend before their scheduled publication date.
Description:
I have noticed an issue with scheduled blog posts in the Statamic Control Panel.
When I create a blog post and set it to be published at a scheduled date/time in the future, the post is correctly marked as scheduled in the administrative interface. However, on the public website, a preview/excerpt of the post is already visible before the scheduled publication time.
The scheduled post appears in:
the blog post listing/archive
the blog post preview/excerpt on the homepage
This seems incorrect, as a scheduled entry should not be visible on the public website until its scheduled publication date/time has been reached.
Expected behavior:
A scheduled blog post should remain completely hidden from the public website until the specified publication date and time. It should not appear in the homepage feed, blog listing, or any other frontend listing/query before it is published.
Actual behavior:
The scheduled post is already displayed as a preview/excerpt on the homepage and in the blog listing, even though its scheduled publication time has not yet been reached.
Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue or whether there is a configuration/query that needs to be changed to exclude scheduled entries from frontend listings?
If this is a bug, could you please advise whether it can be fixed in Statamic?
I can provide screenshots, the Statamic version, configuration details, or a URL to a test installation if needed.
Thank you.
How to reproduce
Steps to reproduce:
Create a new blog post in the Statamic Control Panel.
Set its status/publication to Scheduled.
Select a future publication date and time.
Save the entry.
Open the public website before the scheduled publication time.
The scheduled post is already visible in the homepage and blog listing.
Expected result:
The post should not be visible anywhere on the public website until its scheduled publication time.
Actual result:
The post is visible as a preview/excerpt before the scheduled publication time.
