Make transferred size easier to read

Hi, small suggestion from using RsyncUI today.

In the summary table, the transferred size is shown only in kB. For example I saw something like:

28,291,506 kB

It works, but at a glance it is hard to tell how big that really is. I had to stop and convert it myself to realize it was about 28 GB.

Would it make sense to show this in a more readable way, like 28.3 GB, 740 MB, etc.?

Maybe it could be automatic, or maybe there could be a small setting for the preferred unit. No change to rsync itself, just the way the number is displayed.

Thanks for the app — this would just make the table easier to read quickly.

That should be possible, I will change the formatting to a more readable output. The best is to keep it automatically.

There is a version 3.0.1 rc which should include the request. Please test it out and report your findings. The change itself was in the package ParseRsyncOutput. The update is only fixing the final result after a transfer.

I am also somewhat hesitant to make significant changes to RsyncUI at this time. With over 21,000 downloads, I am cautious about introducing substantial updates that could compromise its stability. However, your request was straightforward. Additionally, RsyncUI operates as expected on macOS 27 (beta). There may be a recompile when Xcode 27 and macOS 27 are released in a few months.
