With Vertx 5 around the corner (have been testing release candidates), will this be updated?

I think this comment #71 (comment) provides the answer you are looking for. I must say, after many years of using vertx I am still struggling with the vertx context and its implications, but I am mostly preferring to use libraries directly. If they use a dedicated threadpool, a proxy can be a good way to get back on the context.
