Entire mac crashed

Description

When the app is opened, especially after downloading a model, the entire Mac (M4 Pro, 24GB, 512GB) freezes and crashes.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the app.
2. Download an OSS model.
3. Browse and download other heavy models.
4. The Mac freezes, requiring a physical power button click to restart. Unfortunately, it cannot be force-quit.
5. After restarting, the app automatically starts and crashes again.
6. To stop the deadloop cycle, you need to prevent the app from starting.

Hey @tranducnus thanks so much for the detailed report, and sorry you ran into this. Man it's rough having your whole Mac freeze up like that and force a restart. After looking into it more, I've got a good idea of what's going on.

It looks like Thuki doesn't have guardrails to check if your Mac has enough free memory or storage before it acts. So, loading a model that's too big for your memory, or downloading several large models that fill up your drive, can starve macOS until the whole machine locks up. That's why the power button is the only thing that works.

Not having the right guardrails is a big bug for sure and I'll ship out a fix for this soon.

A few questions to help me dig into this more easily:

1. Roughly how much free storage did you have when it froze?
2. Did it freeze while models were still downloading, or after you opened the assistant and started chatting? (this helps determine it's on RAM or Disk)
3. Which models were you downloading, and which one was active?
4. Can you confirm you're on the latest version (0.15.8)?

1. Roughly how much free storage did you have when it froze? >> 300gb free storage (out of 512gb of my mac mini m4 pro 24gb 512gb)
2. Did it freeze while models were still downloading, or after you opened the assistant and started chatting? (this helps determine it's on RAM or Disk) >> Dead loop started when the app started after the mac is restarted. The first time it happens is when the model was being downloaded
3. Which models were you downloading, and which one was active? >> I need to uninstall it to make my mac work again. I can only recall the model that is similar to OpenAI OSS so it is not a large model
4. Can you confirm you're on the latest version (0.15.8)? >> Yes
