Shameless question re latest release?

So you mentioned your own simpler predbat alternative in the latest release. Is this something you'd share, predbat is a heavy weight but it's very daunting to interact with and I'd like something I could solo manage a bit easier.

It ... depends :) TBH I am not really considering it at the moment, but here's what I made:

I've created my own integration that is for my use case: Intelligent Octopus Go (dont export my home battery into the car), using Givenergy battery (GivTCP integration needed). I'm not really interested to do what predbat did which is support different tariffs and different batteries, and a cajillion settings - its too much for my product manager mind :)

The two key things for me were performance and simplicity. Here's the options (and note they might not make sense to you because I didnt make it for anyone but me!)

It also integrates with Solcast to get the solar predictions (not shown). All in UI, no config files.

I did make an alternative "planning mode" but I havent really invested much time in it (for things like agile tariff), at the moment it will maximise your export based on kWh available in your battery, if you put it in BEAST MODE, otherwise it'll just charge the battery when its cheap (and when car is charging).

I generate a plan too, my integration is able to generate one within 2-3 seconds, vs 3-4 minutes with Predbat. That kind of lag was too long for me. So it means I can generate a plan every 10 seconds if I want. The best thing is it reacts to changes in the intelligent tariff almost instantly, no 5 minute or sometimes 10 minute wait.

I only came to say the same thing. Sad to see that it'll inevitably break soon, I use this tool a lot, it'll be sad to lose it. Thanks for sharing your great work with us. I'm also a heavy user of the Compact Power Card - I hope this continues to work for a long time, it's by far the best of these visualisations!
