Ability to import a config to the web or install a config from a local file

This is a great tool, thank you for sharing it.

While the Web UI is great for creating/editing the configs, and it's nice to be able to export the config so I can tweak things.

Once I'm done editing the file I can't do anything with it. the snapshot files are a different format so you can't import it as a snapshot, and there's no way to upload a config to the web.

Yeah, the two formats are pretty close — snapshots nest packages under packages.formulae/packages.casks while configs have them flat, plus snapshots carry extra metadata (hostname, dev_tools, etc.) that configs don't need. Small gap.

I'll add conversion between the two so you can export a snapshot and import it as a config (or the other way around). Should be straightforward.

I ran a full end-to-end using this command openboot snapshot --import openboot.json.

Downsides to this:

• the dotfiles don't get applied.
• you can't have descriptions on the packages, which are useful in the TUI

v0.39.0 — snapshots now capture your dotfiles repo URL and restore it on import. The snapshot editor also shows package descriptions from the catalog. brew upgrade openboot to update.
