Feature Request: Restrict Auto Upload to Specific Wi-Fi Networks (SSID)

Summary

Please add the ability to restrict Auto Upload to one or more user-selected Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs), instead of enabling it on any Wi-Fi connection.

Problem

Currently, the "Wi-Fi only" option starts uploading whenever the device is connected to any Wi-Fi network. This includes public hotspots, hotel Wi-Fi, guest networks, or other people's home networks.

For many users, the intention is to upload photos only when connected to their own trusted home network, where bandwidth, speed, privacy, and power consumption are not a concern.

Proposed Solution

Add an optional setting under Auto Upload such as:

  • Only upload on selected Wi-Fi networks
  • Allow the user to select one or more trusted SSIDs from previously connected Wi-Fi networks.
  • If no SSIDs are selected, keep the current behavior ("Any Wi-Fi") for backwards compatibility.

Example:

Auto Upload

  • ☑ Wi-Fi only
  • Wi-Fi network: Any Wi-Fi / Selected Wi-Fi networks
  • Selected networks:
    • Home Wi-Fi
    • Home Guest

Benefits

  • Prevents uploads on public or untrusted Wi-Fi.
  • Gives users more control over when uploads occur.
  • Saves bandwidth on networks with data limits or slow internet connections.
  • Improves privacy by ensuring uploads only happen on trusted networks.
  • Maintains the current behavior for users who do not need this feature.

Thank you for considering this feature!
