I would like to suggest adding a detailed analysis panel that tracks and displays performance based on individual fingers.
Currently, Monkeytype is excellent at tracking keys and words, but it doesn't explicitly show the user which fingers are their "weak links." I propose a system that maps keys to fingers (based on the user's layout) to provide specific feedback.
Key Features
Finger Heatmap: A visual representation after a test showing which fingers were fast/accurate (Strong) and which ones had high error rates or latency (Weak).
Finger-Specific Stats: Metrics like "Left Pinky Accuracy" or "Right Index Speed."
Long-term Trends: A section in the user profile showing the "Mean Analysis" of finger performance over time.
Why this is useful
This feature would help typists identify if a specific finger is holding back their overall speed. For example, a user might realize their "Left Ring Finger" is 20% slower than others, allowing them to focus on specific drills to improve that finger's dexterity.
Additional Context
This could be implemented as a toggle in the "Appearance" or "Analysis" settings. It would need to adapt to different layouts (QWERTY, Dvorak, Colemak, etc.) by using standard finger-to-key mapping.
