What parts of Modrinth is your feature request related too?

Modrinth App

Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

The biggest launcher Curseforge has import/export codes, but the only thing keeping a majority of users to move over to Modrinth is lack of this feature.

Describe the solution you'd like

Modrinth should add an export/import code feature, but instead of hosting the files themselves which would cost a lot, and is most likely the reason Modrinth doesn’t have this feature, they should allow connecting to some sort of cloud storage site like google drive, etc. Files being hosted on a different site would mean Modrinth will only need to process the requests of sending files to the cloud site, and allowing users to download from the cloud site. This would remove the cost while still implementing code exports and imports.

Describe alternatives you've considered

A alternative could be hosting files onto a computer, using Modrinth as a file transfer to directly send modpacks. This could work by having two people, with computers actively on, and when a user wants to download the modpack, the user with the modpack sends a code as a verification, and to show which modpack is being downloaded, and when the other user types in the code, the users form a direct connection allowing files to transfer to the other user. Depending on how this is set up, it could be a low cost alternative to use export/import codes. This still carries the problem that this is meant to solve, being the cost, but this may be a lower cost alternative to hosting the files for an extended period of time as Curseforge does.

Additional context

If this still proves to be a feature that requires extra funding, this could exist as a feature to put into Modrinth+, as currently the subscription is lacking features itself. Whoever is currently buying the subscription could make the export codes for others to import. Although the best case scenario for the average user base is to keep however this feature is implemented free, and easy, to have more users who use Curseforge to move to Modrinth.
