Mint still linking to deprecated OpenSSL 1.1 on macOS

Hey, I’m getting this error when trying to run Mint on macOS:

Library not loaded: /opt/homebrew/opt/openssl@1.1/lib/libssl.1.1.dylib

Looks like it’s still linking against OpenSSL 1.1, which is deprecated and no longer installed by default on newer macOS/Homebrew setups.

Is Mint still depending on the old OpenSSL version?
Any plans to update it to use OpenSSL 3?

We use GitHub actions for building the binaries, and they still default to OpenSSL 1.1 actions/runner-images#10817 I'll check on how to install a different version so we could build for both.

- name : Install  OpenSSL 1.1 manually
  run : |
    wget https://www.openssl.org/source/openssl-1.1.1w.tar.gz
    tar -xvf openssl-1.1.1w.tar.gz
    cd openssl-1.1.1w
    ./config --prefix=/usr/local/openssl
    make
    sudo make install
    export PATH=/usr/local/openssl/bin:$PATH
