[UI] Weird halo around search icon upon focus

Current Behavior

When the search bar in the left sidebar is focused, a weird square background appears behind the search icon.

Expected Behavior

It would be visually cleaner if that weird halo were to be removed. Bonus points if the search icon turns green to indicate focus.
