        "description": "Detected webhook-based data exfiltration URL",
        "location": "url='https://webhook.site'"
      }
    ],
    "redacted_excerpt": "[3 finding(s): css_hidden_text, prompt_injection_keywords, webhook_exfil]",

    "source_ref": null
  }
}

Pattern Inventory (32)

SDK default (11): css_hidden_text, html_comment_injection, metadata_injection, markdown_link_payload, prompt_injection_keywords, base64_encoded_instruction, invisible_unicode, role_override_attempt, suspicious_url, data_exfil_phrase, encoded_bypass

API-extended (21): sql_injection, nosql_injection, command_injection, path_traversal, ssrf_attempt, privilege_escalation, credential_harvest, webhook_exfil, jwt_exposure, internal_ip_reference, log_injection, discord_webhook_exfil, telegram_bot_exfil, pastebin_gist_exfil, cloud_upload_exfil, presigned_url_exfil, mixed_encoded_payload, credential_bundle_dump, env_secret_reference, consent_bypass_phrase, bulk_archive_export

Notes on detection scope

  • Channel-based exfil patterns such as telegram_bot_exfil, cloud_upload_exfil, and presigned_url_exfil are tuned for sensitive exfiltration context, not generic docs or reference text
  • Some injection and exfiltration patterns are intentionally heuristic and should be validated against your own eval set before hard enforcement

POST /v1/decide

Return an allow, warn, or block decision before a tool call runs.

Request

Field Type Required Description
tool_name string Required Tool name. Alias: tool
args object Optional Tool arguments. Default: {}
capabilities array[string] Optional Capability tags. Default: []
policy_preset string Optional Policy preset name. Default: "default"
policy object Optional Inline policy object. Overrides preset if both are provided
mode string Optional "enforce" / "warn" / "shadow". Overrides preset mode
pii_profiles array[string] Optional PII profiles to run. null means all profiles

If you provide both policy and policy_preset, policy takes precedence.

Response data

Field Type Description
action string "allow" / "warn" / "block" after mode is applied
reason string Decision reason
policy_id string Policy that matched
severity string "low" / "medium" / "high"
tool_name string Tool name
redacted_args object PII-redacted arguments
capabilities array[string] Echoed capability list
original_action string Pre-mode decision
mode string Effective mode

Evaluation Order

  1. Tool blocklist — if the tool is in the blocklist, block immediately
  2. Egress control — if a URL domain is outside the allowlist, block; email destinations may downgrade to warn depending on policy behavior
  3. File path control — if a path is outside the allowlist, block
  4. PII detection — if arguments contain PII, block or warn
  5. Capability policy — if nothing above matched, apply capability-level policy
  6. Default action — if nothing matched, use the preset fallback

Mode Behavior

Mode When the underlying decision is block When it is warn When it is allow
enforce block warn allow
warn warn (downgraded) warn allow
shadow allow (record only) allow allow

Example: Tool Blocklist Match

Request:

{
  "tool_name": "shell_exec",
  "args": {"command": "ls -la /"},
  "capabilities": ["shell_exec"],
  "policy_preset": "mcp-server"
}

Response:

{
  "ok": true,
  "data": {
    "action": "block",
    "reason": "tool_in_blocklist",
    "policy_id": "tool_blocklist",
    "severity": "high",
    "tool_name": "shell_exec",
    "redacted_args": {"command": "ls -la /"},
    "capabilities": ["shell_exec"],
    "original_action": "block",
    "mode": "enforce"
  }
}

Example: Allowed Destination

Request:

{
  "tool_name": "post_slack",
  "args": {"url": "https://hooks.slack.com/services/T00/B00/xxx", "text": "deploy done"},
  "capabilities": ["network_send"],
  "policy_preset": "mcp-server"
}

Response:

{
  "ok": true,
  "data": {
    "action": "allow",
    "reason": "specific_policy_passed",
    "policy_id": "specific_policy",
    "severity": "low",
    "tool_name": "post_slack",
    "redacted_args": {"url": "https://hooks.slack.com/services/T00/B00/xxx", "text": "deploy done"},
    "capabilities": ["network_send"],
    "original_action": "allow",
    "mode": "enforce"
  }
}

Example: Shadow Mode

Request:

{
  "tool_name": "shell_exec",
  "args": {"command": "ls"},
  "capabilities": ["shell_exec"],
  "policy_preset": "mcp-server",
  "mode": "shadow"
}

Response:

{
  "ok": true,
  "data": {
    "action": "allow",
    "reason": "tool_in_blocklist",
    "policy_id": "tool_blocklist",
    "severity": "high",
    "tool_name": "shell_exec",
    "redacted_args": {"command": "ls"},
    "capabilities": ["shell_exec"],
    "original_action": "block",
    "mode": "shadow"
  }
}

In shadow mode, the tool still runs, but original_action shows what would have happened in enforce mode.

Available Presets

default, mcp-server, internal-agent, customer-support, finance, healthcare, devops, data-pipeline, hr-agent, legal, ecommerce, research

tool_name string Optional Tool name. Alias: tool. Default: "tool_result"
policy_preset string Optional Policy preset
policy object Optional Inline policy
mode string Optional Mode override
pii_profiles array[string] Optional PII profiles to run. null means all

Response data

  "data": {

    "reason": "pii_detected_in_result",
    "policy_id": "pii_detection",
    "severity": "medium",
    "tool_name": "query_customers",
    "redacted_result": "Customer: [EMAIL], phone [PHONE], national ID [KRN]",
    "original_action": "warn",
    "mode": "enforce"
  }
}

Example: Structured Result Redaction

      ]
    },
    "original_action": "warn",
    "mode": "enforce"
  }
}

The original result type is preserved: string stays string, dict stays dict, list stays list.
