Check URL bypass?

Curious if Check URL is really necessary. I'm trying to connect the mobile app through Pangolin and get status code 0. Open a browser from the same device and I can login and the Check URL url works fine.

Have a look at the logs (top left corner on the login screen). They describe why the connection cannot be established.

The check URL does a request like the app would normally do, if this doesn't work, other requests to gotify/server will fail too, so bypassing this wouldn't change the problem.

Found some config info in their Commuity Guides Bypass Rules and I'm getting a user doesn't exist error but using a browser from the same device with the same url and cred has no problem.

Caused by: com.google.gson.stream.MalformedJsonException: Use JsonReader.setStrictness(Strictness.LENIENT) to accept malformed JSON at line 1 column 1 path $

It means that the gotify /version or /gotifyinfo endpoint response with invalid json, meaning gotify doesn't respond with the request. Maybe some captcha or it's blocked by pangolin. The requests that gotify/android and your browser send are slightly different.
