Disable line break between two .text() calls

Question

I'm using pdfkit to generate text where syllables are differently colored.
I'm having an issue to avoid line breaks in the middle of a word because I call .text() each time I want to change color.
Is it possible to make that 2 calls are unbreakable ?

As you can see, I need the multiple b to be one word but with different colors and it breaks

is there a way to avoid the break ?

I think you just reached the margins ? If I either decrease the font size or remove an a, the b stays on the same line which I understand is what you'd like to achieve?

Apart from modifying the font size or the amount of letters to fit within your page's margins, you could modify the margins themselves, e.g.:

    margins: { top: 0, bottom: 0, left: 0, right: 0 },
