Feature description
Now here are libs just for IDF 5.1, that stick Arduino platform on 3.0.x SDK.
In time writing this feature request is already released Arduino 3.3 based on IDF 5.5, which already supports ESP32-C5, which is main reason, why I want support for Platformio Arduino SDK 3.3.x on IDF 5.5
Use cases
Support new ESP32-C5, because of 5GHz wifi
Alternatives
- ESP-IDF and lot of learn of FreeRTOS and native ESP-IDF instead of Arduino framework
- usage of Arduino IDE instead of Platform.IO, but it means while switching projects I need to reinstall Arduino SDKs, because there are still projects, which use 2.x Arduino framework and some 3.0.x
