--recursion_limit flag is not supported. (At the very least it could be ignored.)

In the python version, --recursion-limit is used to set the Python interpreter's maximum recursion depth. There is no such runtime setting for C++, this is effectively limited by the stack size, and should not be an issue. If I recall correctly, I rewrote a few of the Python functions that had deep recursion to use loops instead.

If it's an issue just not having a flag, I can certainly create a flag for backwards compatibility, although it will just be ignored.
