Generate API from OpenAPI?

I was chatting with @jmb-streamsets yesterday. It seems he has been working on something similar. He demoed what he has for me yesterday and it looks like there is overlap, but there are also things here that he doesn't have, and he has things we don't have:

• Generating client via OpenAPI
• Streaming support

I spent most of yesterday trying to get OpenAPI generator to work on the "official" spec (OpenAPI 3.1). I wouldn't trust the OpenAPI 3.0 endpoint that docling-serve exposes - it was put together for me a while back when I was trying to get things to work.

The openapi-generator generates code which doesn't compile. Even if I tell it to only generate the model classes, the model classes it generates call out to some helper class (i.e. invoker) which has a hard dependency on the Java HttpClient.

Due to the way we separate the api from the client, I'm not sure it'll work for us unless we build a custom set of openapi-generator templates, which we'd then have to maintain. I almost think it'll be easier to maintain the model classes we have, since they are pretty empty.
