Help me understand the process for updating the version of my MCP server

I have followed the instructions in the CONTRIBUTING.md guide to get our MCP server published in the registry.

I have been updating our MCP server and wish to ensure the new version is used in the registry.

Is it just a case of updating the commit: hash in server.yaml in our fork?

Or, does a PR need to be created?

If we could get this documented, that would be great.

I'm still trying to get a new version published - this PR #697 is 3 weeks old.
