[docs-scanner] Missing information about paid subscription handling during account conversion #26047

Description

@docker-agent

File: content/manuals/accounts/organization/setup/convert-account.md

Issue

The "What happens when you convert your account" section explains that "The current subscription will automatically cancel and your new subscription will start," but it doesn't clarify what happens to users who have paid personal subscriptions (such as Docker Pro) when they convert their account to an organization.

The current subscription will automatically cancel and your new subscription
will start.

Why this matters

Users with paid personal subscriptions (Docker Pro) who want to convert to an organization would be confused about:

  • Whether they lose their paid subscription benefits
  • Whether they receive a refund or credit for the remaining subscription period
  • How the billing transition works (do they pay twice during the transition?)
  • Whether they need to time the conversion to align with their billing cycle

This is a significant financial decision, and the lack of clarity could lead users to:

  • Avoid converting when it would benefit them
  • Convert at the wrong time and lose money
  • Contact support unnecessarily for clarification

Suggested fix

Add a bullet point or paragraph in the "What happens when you convert your account" section that explicitly addresses paid subscriptions. For example:

  • If you have a paid personal subscription (such as Docker Pro), it will be canceled when you convert to an organization. You will not receive a refund for the remaining subscription period. Consider timing your conversion to align with the end of your billing cycle to minimize lost value.

Or, if Docker does provide credits or refunds:

  • If you have a paid personal subscription (such as Docker Pro), it will be canceled and any remaining subscription value will be credited to your new organization subscription.

The exact wording should reflect Docker's actual policy on this matter.
