PLDM/MCTP and I2C support in iDRAC10 BMC

Hi Team,

I am testing these requirement in R470 and R570 servers

BMC shall be able to read sensor value and thresholds through PLDM/MCTP.
BMC shall be able to read sensor value and thresholds through SMBus/I2C.
BMC shall be compliant with latest PLDM (Platform Level Data Model) and MCTP (Management Component Transport Protocol) specification. Both MCTP over SMBus/I2C and MCTP over PCIe are mandatory.

From online resources could not find which server sensor is using what protocol internally,

Do we have any such data which can confirm which sensors are using PLDM/MCTp and I2C internally. As a tester it does not matter but still we just need to know the sensors which are using what protocol to verify these requirement.

Or If you have some other way to verify these requirements please suggest.

Hi @myoscodeRahul

We don't document to customers how iDRAC internally gets sensor data from server components, we just have general information explaining that iDRAC is able to get sensor data from all server components and which tools can be leveraged to get sensor data like Redfish Telemetry.
