Input reference

The hosted Actor accepts a JSON object. Use either query or startUrls; a direct place URL is the most bounded option.

Field Type Default Description
query string none Country, city, locality, place or natural-language location search. The Store example is Madrid, Spain.
startUrls array [] Up to 20 public Tripadvisor place or category URLs. Each item has a url property.
maxItemsPerQuery integer 20 Maximum unique places per query or URL when collectAll is disabled. Range: 1–10,000.
collectAll boolean false Continue pagination until source exhaustion or the run-wide safety cap.
maxTotalItemsPerRun integer 10000 Run-wide safety cap in all-mode. Range: 1–50,000.
includeHotels boolean true Include hotels in geographic searches and category URLs.
includeRestaurants boolean true Include restaurants in geographic searches and category URLs.
includeAttractions boolean true Include attractions, things to do and activities.
language string en Two-letter or regional language code, normalized to the requested language.
currency string USD Three-letter currency code for currency-sensitive fields.
maxPhotosPerPlace integer 0 Additional photos per place. Range: 0–50; 0 keeps the primary photo only.

Query and URL behavior

query is the easiest entry path for a destination or locality. Include the country when a place name may be ambiguous. startUrls accepts public Tripadvisor URLs from localized country domains. A direct place URL is always processed; category URLs are paginated according to the selected limits.

Results are deduplicated across the complete run by Tripadvisor location ID. A limit is a maximum, not a guarantee: the source may expose fewer eligible places, filters may disable categories, or duplicates may be removed.
