Following the example in the documentation, I get this

null is not an object (evaluating 'RNSystemSoundsNativeModule.playSystemSound')

while trying to use with Expo

Hello, sorry but we don't use Expo so we won't dig into this. Happy to merge a PR though if you manage to fix it.
