Delayed nestad adjacent selection

Given an adjacent selection
When the user selects one key inside the adjacent selection
Then the adjacent selection waits ~2 seconds for another adjacent selection

note: when select one inside an adjacent selection, the adjacent does not deselect immediately, it waits for ~2s, I'm not sure why, one of the things I discovered is that you can perform another adjacent selection and it works fine, but it could also be possible if it selected one immediately, so I'm not sure this is the reason for the delay.
