Post processeur test on Artisan

Here is a transcript of my wish list:

• run a job with the 200W module but with spindle speed given as a percentage rather than rpm: add ˋ--spindle-percent`, but keep providing spindle speeds as RPM in FreeCAD, the post processor does the conversion

• test drilling: program a path with one/multiple drilling

• test tool change with pause: program paths with different toolbits, and see whether the machine wait for an action between each path.

• measure X, Y and Z boundaries to update the values used by the boundaries check function.

• confirm that thumbnail is correct (size, details, glitches, etc.) on the controller

I'd be happy to try this stuff! First of all, the thumbnail looks fine to me. Doesn't fill the available space, but is plenty big enough to see the important parts:

For the spindle speed, I used the "feeds and speeds" add-on that pre-filled some info, and the spindle speed was one of the ones listed. Not sure where exactly it pre-filled it to though, I didn't see that parameter anywhere. It chose a speed less than the max possible on this machine, however, I never passed that '--spindle-percentage' argument to the post-processor. One of our makerspace patrons who's CNCed here before (using Fusion) mentioned that if you don't edit the generated gcode, it passes spindle speed not in percent format, and then the machine seems to ignore that command and just runs at 100%/18,000. Do you suppose that's what it's doing right now? The set speed was only a little under 18,000 anyway, so I can't tell either way.

Nice picture, you're right the thumbnail could be bigger. I think it's because the Artisan screen is bigger than the one of AX50. I'll see which size is output by Luban.

For splindle speed: If you use the 200W module (which come by default with Artisan I guess), you should add --toolhead=200W all the time. With such an argument, spindle speed is added as RPM by default (because the 200W can use either RPM or %, per the documentation), unless you explicitly add --spindle-percent (and single quotes should not appear around the argument, this is a mistake I made when I wrote my message with the mobile GitHub app).
I just wanted to know if RPM to percent conversion worked as expected, hence my request.

If you want to know where to add spindle speed (including rapid speeds, which by the way are not supported by Fusion if you don't buy an expensive licence), check the repository wiki which provides pictures of where to enter these values.

Specifically, spindle speeds are unique for each toolbit and can be edited in the tool tab of the job. I think that the feeds and speeds add-on set theses values there.

Once again, thank you helping me improve this postprocessor, which is now part of FreeCAD (merged recently, which mean that future releases will include this postprocessor without any additional install!)
