Analysis

The goal of the devopsos validate command is to verify the correctness of generated configuration files before developers use them. Based on the issue description, the command will validate the following:

1. Dockerfile syntax – ensure the Dockerfile follows valid Docker build syntax.
2. GitHub Actions workflow YAML – validate .github/workflows/*.yml files for correct YAML structure.
3. Kubernetes YAML manifests** – validate Kubernetes resource definitions (Deployment, Service, etc.).
   Implementation Plan

1.Add CLI Command

Extend the CLI to include:

devopsos validate

This command will trigger validation checks for all supported configuration files.

2. Dockerfile Validation

   Detect if a Dockerfile exists in the project directory.
   Use Docker build parsing or a lightweight syntax check (for example using docker build --dry-run or Dockerfile lint tools).

3. YAML Validation

   Parse YAML files using a YAML parser.
   Validate:
   github/workflows/*.yml Kubernetes manifest files (deployment.yaml, service.yaml`, etc.).
   Ensure proper YAML syntax and structure.

4. Error Reporting

   If an invalid configuration is detected, display a clear error message with the file name and issue.
   Example output:
   ✔ Dockerfile syntax valid
   ✖ kubernetes/deployment.yaml – YAML syntax error at line 12
   ✔ .github/workflows/ci.yml valid

5. Success Output

   If all checks pass:
   All configuration files are valid.

Next Steps

Explore the existing CLI structure in the repository.
Implement the validation logic in a modular way so additional validators can be added in the future.
