I would love to hear about your setup to train using the keyboard layout. I have issues using it on Type Fu, so I am looking for an alternative

I actually managed to get Type Fu working with Engram ES, so it might still be a good option for practicing Engram.

One important thing I discovered is that, when you define a custom layout in Type Fu, it expects your operating system's keyboard layout to remain set to QWERTY. Type Fu then remaps those QWERTY key positions to the custom layout you defined and displays them accordingly in its practice interface.

So, if you already have Engram configured at the OS level and also select a custom Engram layout in Type Fu, the remapping is effectively applied twice. Type Fu receives characters it doesn't expect, so your keystrokes are registered as incorrect.

What worked for me was:

• Keep the OS keyboard layout set to QWERTY.
• Create Engram as a custom layout in Type Fu.
• Let Type Fu handle the remapping while practicing.

I didn't know about Type Fu before seeing this discussion, but after configuring it this way, I've been able to use it successfully for practicing Engram ES.
