Description
I have been using the Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit (Python-based CLI) for developing and deploying agents to AgentCore.
I noticed the README states:
Public Preview: If you previously used the Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit, uninstall it before using this CLI
This clearly indicates that AgentCore CLI is the successor to the Starter Toolkit.
I'm about to start a long-running project that will begin with a POC phase and eventually move to production. I'd like to understand the positioning of this CLI to decide whether to adopt it from the start or stay with the Starter Toolkit during the early phase.
Specifically, I'd like to ask the maintainers:
- Starter Toolkit status: Is the Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit still being maintained, or should new projects use this CLI going forward?
- General Availability: The README says "Public Preview." Is General Availability planned in the near future?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
