standard for class logs

Create a standard for all class logs.

• The format. Something easy to read in a terminal.
• The IRC messages which are logged. One idea is to log only PRIVMSG, NOTICE, TOPIC, and MODE messages. Definitely leave out JOIN, PART, and QUIT messages for people's privacy.
• Message date and time stamps should be in UTC.

Once the standard has been determined, past logs should be modified to adhere to this standard.

I think currently the de-facto standard in to simply cut the whole timeframe from weechat's logger, right? If we want to filter out join/part, we'd definitely have to strip those out from historic logs. I'm not sure what else we'd want to strip out though...

Something I realized while looking at my logs right now, is that stalker.plof course logs to the channel log as well.
But it looks like filtering out anything where the second field is any of (<--|-->) or the second field is -- AND the third field contains known as should be sufficient to remove those messages.

Perhaps we should create a standard for configuring weechat to act as a logger bot? I wonder if we could get infra from somewhere for this.

I think having a log bot is a really good idea. There is a meeting logs plugin for limnoria we can look into or I can code something I suppose.
