i got this message from OpenCode desktop today which highlights the problem "I need to stop and assess damage. The file dropped from ~3974 to 2899 lines — about 1075 lines were lost during my previous edits. Critical sections like......."

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues related to undo/snapshot/restore functionality. Please check:

If your request is specifically about proactive restore points/snapshots (rather than fixing existing undo), please clarify how it differs from #24785. Otherwise, consider adding your use case to one of the existing issues.
