MESA feature expansion #1204

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
MESA seems to be quite limited in its implementation in amuse, its not quite obvious how to edit the inlist files to make use of the ability to add cores to a star or planet and evolve it that way. I haven't been able to find which file exactly MESA is calling for inlist_projects, as the ones I'm editing seem to have no impact on the result.
Describe the solution you'd like
A clear ReadMe or tutorial on where the files are located would be nice, or the addition of more features of MESA into amuse would be cool. I understand this may not be a quick fix but running this through AMUSE would be so much better.

Tried to edit inlist files manually to no avail
Additional context
Was looking to add a neutron star to a stellar envelope to evolve it for a few Myr. would have to state the core temp is ~10^9 K and a central luminosity to get the desired result but could find no alternative with the other stellar evolution methods
