Use sliding window approach to estimate flight/spray forecast

On the current approach, jobs retrieve the forecast for the next 5 days, evaluate conditions and post to FC. After 5 days they get forecast again and re run. On this approach the provisions on the 5th day are week. We need a more sophisticated approach, like a sliding window approach.

Scheduled jobs that post these values need to retrieve each day the 5-day forecast and post it to FC. This way every day we get forecast for one more day and forecasts are more strong more the next days as the forecast is updated every day

Proposed solution

• Job that runs every day
• Gets forecast from OWM for next 5 days
• Deletes observations related to this machine from now until next 5 days from FC
• Posts forecast retrieved from OWM
• Deletes Predictions for the machine(location) for next 5 days
• Saves forecast retrieved from OWM to db.

Note: For that we need Observation DELETE api
