The base-block model can be changed to any vanilla block material (standalone). For custom block textures, the only way available involves ItemsAdder. If you have ItemsAdder installed, you may use the custom block id as the material to make that particular appearance option to show as the custom block.

After running DisplayShops 1.7.x at least once, a menus.yml will generate in its respective plugins folder. There is a base-block-menu section that contains the available-materials list. This list is the materials that a player may set as the shop's appearance. As an example, the FURNACE:-1:80.0:&7Requires the &edisplayshops.bbm.FURNACE &7permission. line will be a Furnace, so for ItemsAdder you would simply replace FURNACE with the ItemsAdder ID of a custom block you made. When we use the itemadder plugin, if we add an item as a block, it breaks. We need to add it as an item. such as paper. When you do this, your plugin will not be able to place it because it does not detect it as a block. Can you get support for this? In order for the feature to work it requires that the item is given texture attributes. For example, in ItemsAdder you'll need something like the following:

This will allow red_block:-1:80.0:&7Requires the &edisplayshops.bbm.red_block &7permission. as an example.
For more specific textures it's best to use custom_variants from their page.

The ItemsAdder hook in DisplayShops pulls both the itemstack form and block form from the id provided; therefore, it requires the item to have a placed_form directly attached. Part of the reason I have it pulling them together like that is due to an automated system allowing the material to be replaced with hooks from other plugins like HeadsDatabase so the format of that string needs to be identical.

We experimented with my friend who bought the plugin. It doesn't work when I try to place the custom block base-block but when I try to put it on top of the custom block it works (custom-blocks = itemsadder block). it is not possible for me to purchase the plugin without fixing this issue. can you help me
