API Manager Lite is a modified and substantially reduced version of Cherry Studio, based on version 1.9.12.
The API Manager and API Manager Lite modifications were made in July 2026. They replace the original application entry points and user interface with a focused API provider, credential, and model-list manager. Chat, knowledge-base, OCR, Mini App, Agent, MCP, API Server, sync, backup, analytics, tray, updater, and related background modules were removed from this distribution.
Version 2.0 replaces the Electron runtime with Tauri 2, macOS WKWebView, and a Rust backend while retaining the focused React interface.
