What happened?
After I get managed to activate the second screen, it freezes when changing to fullscreen mode. Application windows working on the first screen disappear, when they are moved to the secon screen. Background, taskbar and mouse pointer stay visible at the second screen, but no interaktion is possible, only in the first screen.
To get the second screen working again I found out this trick:
Inside guest's screen settings, I switched the second screen from role "extend" to role "duplicate". If windows asked me to keep this setting, I immediatly reset it. Then the second screen gets immediately responsive again.
VBOX.log
How can we reproduce this?
I've started up the machine with just one active screen. After startup (guest extensions already running) I tried to activate the second screen. Sometimes this works immediately, sometimes I have to perform a restart. If the second screen is active (still windowed mode), I switch to fullscreen mode. That is the time when the second screen freezes.
Both host screens are set to resulution 3840x2160.
Guest additions fit the Virtualbox latest version (7.2.14).
Did you upload all of your necessary log files, screenshots, etc.?
