Is it possible to configure this to do dns lookups instead of having a host list ? With thousands of devices maintaining a list isn't practical.

For example i'd like to set up some default credentials and driver. so that users can query devices in hubot.

You can definitely specify hostnames or FQDNs in the config, there's nothing in this pack that prevents that.

The config's purpose is to map each host to the intended credential set, so you're right about that part. However, it should be pretty straightforward to nominate one of them as the "default", so if a hostname isn't found in the config, the pack tries to use that default credential first.

Thanks for the response. I’m working on adding some more functionality. Especially around chatops. My end goal is to have my end users be able to do something along the lines of “hubot get interact statistics switch x port 1” I’ll submit a PR when it’s all done
