How to implement person mentions

Hi SolidOS team!
I'm building a Solid-compatible chat system and I'm trying to understand how
mentions should be implemented in relation to the chat-pane module and the
LongChat specification.

Is there someone maintaining chat-pane today that I can talk to about this?

Can you explain what you mean by person mentions ?
A person is identified by a WebID

When you tag a person in a message like in Slack with @EspenMarthini . In triples it can be done by using sioc:mentions with webid as object, in addition to something like <@EspenMarthini> tag within the message body within the sioc:content. Have you done anything like that?
