Is it time for a new stable release?

Do you have an estimate yet of when a new stable release might be available?

The latest version was released 6 years ago.

Thanks for still following the project! Absolutely, a new release is long overdue. I hoped to publish it this year but I have no capacity to do it yet... However, the fact it doesn't appear on GitHub releases doesn't mean you can't use it. I consider current (R322) build to be quite stable, I personally use it daily. You can download it from https://proger.me/notepad2e/binaries/ (permalink to latest version; link details]. The only difference from GitHub is that there's no changelog (which is exactly why it takes me so long to upload it). But you can glimpse that from commit titles and issue changes. The project has seen regular updates during these years so there's a huge difference between the latest release and current build.

Again, sorry for that, and I hope you stay tuned for an update, whenever it may come along!

The problem is also with the website.
It seems like the project has been abandoned, since the latest downloadable release is so old.

The page with build archives is simply a directory listing, it's not supposed to be fancy. GitHub is the project's homepage, and while the releases section is heavily out of date you can see latest commit info above the file list and it's way more recent than the latest release. So, I realize it's not ideal but commit history clearly indicates the project isn't abandoned.
