How to enable "Format Document" functionality in VS Code?

Per reddit.com/r/vscode/comments/97pud9/comment/e4kuclo, it appears that it should function by default. However, it does not for me, for the undermentioned appears in a window:

There is no formatter for 'powershell' files installed in VSCode

Incredibly, after running the undermentioned in an embedded terminal, the functionality... functioned:

Get-Module -ListAvailable 'PSScriptAnalyzer'

I don't whether it was mere coincidence, or due to it.
