Add Galera Cluster, Atlas, StarRocks, and MariaDB Cloud to the catalog
Three new Software & Tools entries and one SaaS entry for the MySQL ecosystem, cross-checked against the two currently open resources/auto-* PRs (#70, #71) to avoid duplicates: - Galera Cluster (Replication & High Availability) — Codership's synchronous multi-master replication library underneath MariaDB Galera Cluster and Percona XtraDB Cluster. - Atlas (Schema Management & Migration) — Ariga's schema-as-code inspect/diff/migrate tool for MySQL, MariaDB, and TiDB. - StarRocks (Data Warehouse & Analytics) — Linux Foundation MPP analytical database with native MySQL wire-protocol support. - MariaDB Cloud (SaaS, Managed Databases) — MariaDB's own DBaaS across AWS/GCP/Azure, the product line formerly marketed as SkySQL (MariaDB reacquired SkySQL in August 2025 and folded it into this product). MariaDB Cloud runs MariaDB Enterprise Server as a managed service, automating provisioning, scaling, global replication, backups, and patching across more than 40 regions on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. It offers a free, auto-scaling Serverless tier for development and variable workloads, alongside node-based Foundation, Power, and PowerPlus provisioned tiers for predictable, production-grade performance, with an SLA on multi-node services.

The platform has absorbed SkySQL, MariaDB's earlier standalone cloud brand that spun off as an independent company in 2023 — MariaDB reacquired SkySQL in August 2025 and folded its serverless and AI-oriented capabilities back into this core product line. It's SOC 2 compliant and billed either hourly/pay-as-you-go or through annual subscription commitments.

Atlas inspects a live database and represents its schema as code, then plans migrations either declaratively — diffing the current schema against a desired state described in HCL, SQL, or an ORM's models, the way Terraform plans infrastructure changes — or through traditional versioned migration files that it generates and verifies automatically. It can run schema diffs and linting in CI to catch destructive or unsafe changes before they reach production.

The core CLI is Apache 2.0-licensed open source, built and maintained by Ariga. The company also sells Atlas Cloud, a hosted schema registry and migration CI/CD service with Pro and Enterprise tiers layered on top of the open-source core, which is why it carries both an Open Source and an Open Core pricing tag here.

Galera Cluster, developed by Codership, replicates transactions synchronously across every node via certification-based replication: a transaction only commits once every node has validated ("certified") it against conflicting writes in-flight elsewhere in the cluster, which removes the replication lag and lost-transaction windows inherent to traditional asynchronous MySQL replication. Any node accepts both reads and writes, cluster membership is managed automatically, and a failed node is simply dropped from the cluster rather than triggering a manual failover.
21+
22+
It's released under the GPLv2 license and ships as a loadable wsrep provider plugin rather than a standalone server. Galera is the clustering engine underneath both MariaDB Galera Cluster and Percona XtraDB Cluster, and can also be built directly against upstream MySQL via the companion codership/mysql-wsrep repository.

StarRocks is a vectorized, massively parallel processing (MPP) SQL engine built for real-time analytics: a fully-customized cost-based optimizer, primary-key tables that support concurrent upserts and deletes, and query federation across Apache Hive, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Hudi without moving data out of the lake first. Because it implements the MySQL wire protocol, standard MySQL clients, drivers, and BI tools connect to it directly with no special connector.
23+
24+
It's released under the Apache 2.0 license and governed as a Linux Foundation project. Clusters deploy via Helm/a Kubernetes operator, Docker, or bare metal, and a separate shared-data architecture mode decouples compute from object storage for cloud-native setups.
