Security Keys App Completely Broken

Firmware 1.2.0

Core functionality of security keys completely broken. Keys won't register with any service using any method. Tried using NFC on android and USB via PC.

I get the same error "Registration Failed. There are no keys to choose from. Create a key first, then retry the registration"

I already have 2 keys created.

I can't add a new key, I get "Duplicate index" error.

Presently I can't use any of the keys I've created, and I can't create new keys. This application is non-functional.

Hi there! Thanks for the report! This issue was actually reported by another user in our forum a couple of days ago. It doesn't always happen, but we did notice that sometimes the GUI and the FIDO server don't coordinate well and this can create a collision on index 0. One thinks the keys have been recorded, the other one thinks it hasn't. It has already been fixed for the upcoming keyOS 1.2.1 version we plan on releasing next week. Sorry about the trouble.

About the services where you can register - we are FIDO compatible, but not FIDO2 or passkey compatible yet, this is coming in the near future. So depending on the service you are trying to register with you might find that they try to enforce FIDO2 and the registration might fail. If you want to, we could look into the specific services you wanted to authenticate with and check if this is indeed a compatibility issue or if there is something more to it. Let us know! Thank you!
