List of debugging tools + documentation

It would be useful to have a list of existing debugging tools and their documentation.
It seems that some tools exist in CAM (like snapshot) but scientists are not necessarily aware of them.

Useful tools would be:

• be able to close the history file just before crashing point. Right now, we are outputting a history file at every timestep and we are adding variables to debug. But they are not saved just before the model crashes because the history file is not closed. In the telecon, Steve mentioned there are ways to close the file. When can I find info about that.
• subroutine to output lat/lon of a crashing point.

Thank you for the suggestions. Have you had a look at the CAM debugging techniques page on the CAM Wiki (link is right on the home page)?

I can bring this up again but I have already introduced it in the AMP SE meeting (2022-12-15). Let me know.
