Button to display column options for grouping

1st, this is not a bug, but just checking if anyone (or the dev team) has even built a custom UI display
that allows the end-user the ability to choose the grouping (similar to SearchBuilder but less complex)

In my case, I'm using Ajax objects that way the sorting extensions still work

Not yet I'm afraid - although it is something I very much want to do some time. The simplest case would be to do something like the column visibility list of buttons and clicking a button would change the grouping.

What I'd quite like to do is have the ability to click and drag a column header into a grouping box, or have a sub-menu inside the header cells with a "Group by" option.
